Is it really Monday again? Goodness gracious the weeks seem to fly by! Well you know the drill by now...Not me! Monday is a blog carnival created by MckMama. If you want to play along or just want to read other people's Not me! Monday's just click the button above or click on MckMama's name. Have fun :o)

I did not live in PJ's for 5 days over Thanksgiving, nope not me! I would never not get dressed, especially not on a holiday! I must say though that it did not feel great to lounge around the house and not have to worry about being dressed up.

I did not get hooked on playing online Scrabble with Dewayne. I then did not spend every night after everyone went to sleep playing Scrabble until the wee hours of the night. Who knew Scrabble could be so much fun?

Best of all...I did not play hookie with my wonderful friend Sigrun today. We did not go to Olive Garden and spend 3 hours sitting there chit chatting about life and our dreams. We then did not head over to Walmart to do a little bit of craft shopping for me.

I am not super excited about my new craft project that I am starting. This new craft project is not my millionth project that I am starting. I do not love crafts :o)

Ok that is enough Not me! Monday for this week. See you next week for another fun and exciting Not me! Monday.

By the way, today marks the 30th day of this month. That means that I have completed my challenge in the NaBloPoMo, I was able to blog every day this month without missing a single day!!! It is actually quite amazing how easy it was to not skip a single day.

Have a great Monday!!!!

But for now I am going to spend the last night with Sharla before she leaves in the morning. Have a great Saturday everyone and I will write something more exciting tomorrow.

Five Question Friday 11/27

My Little Life

Happy Black Friday to you all!!! Did you go shopping??? I didn't go this year. My life is too crazy right now with not knowing where I am going to be living in the next two months to be shopping my butt off. I have always loved Black Friday shopping before...not the crowds, I hate crowds. Just the sales!!! I love a good deal :o) But this year I am not going all our for Christmas like I have in the past. I can't afford it and I don't want to regret it in January. I want to be able to move from here and not have Christmas hanging over my head.

Anyway it is time for Five Question Friday which is a blog carnival created by Mama M over a My Little Life!!! If you want to play along just click on the button above or click on Mama M's name. Have fun, I know I always do :o)

1. Do you do a real or fake Christmas tree?
Fake all the way!!! When Markus (my 9 year old) was a baby we went to a Christmas tree farm and cut down our own Christmas tree and brought it home. I was so excited because I had never had one before. I decorated it beautifully (it was the first year that I had real decoration) and was so proud. Over the next few days I kept finding spider webs in my Christmas tree and couldn't figure out what was going on. Then on Christmas morning we wake up and lets just say that it looked like Spiderman had come to visit and his spider self exploded on our tree. The tree was covered in spider webs and even my pretty angel on top was just a shadow because the spider webs were so bad. Turns out my Christmas tree had some spider invasion in it that we brought with us home when we bought the tree. I was so upset and grossed out that I will never have a live tree ever again. I love my store bought tree and I never have to worry about stepping on pine needles in my living room either :o)

2. What is your favorite Christmas tradition with your family?
Our family is all about tradition. I am from Iceland and we celebrate Christmas a lot differently than Americans do and through out the month of December I am going to tell you all about it on my blog. I think my favorite tradition is eating on Christmas eve at 6 pm sharp! We get all dressed up in our nicest clothes and have a great big family dinner and it always starts at 6 pm. I am going to get into detail later in December about this.

3. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in your neck of the woods? And, if so...how many calories do you think you consumed yesterday?
I did celebrate Thanksgiving at home and calories.....oh goodness why are you asking me that??? I didn't want to think about that!!! I probably ate 3000-5000 calories yesterday. I had turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry dressing and tea to drink. Then I had pumpkin pie and coconut cream pie for dessert. Ok I am going to be perfectly honest with you....I had two slices of pumpkin pie and just a few bites of the coconut pie. I know I am a pig but you have no idea how good the pumpkin pie that my Aunt Sharla made was. It was to die for. It was better than sex!!!

4. Have you started decorating for Christmas, yet?
No, not yet. I plan to start this weekend. My Aunt Sharla is here visiting and I want to enjoy her company and not worry about cleaning and decorating.

5. What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
Kiffels!!! They are so yummy!!! My Aunt Sharla makes the best Kiffels ever....as a matter of fact she is in the kitchen right now making Christmas cookies. She has the Kiffel dough cooling in the refrigerator as we speak. We are going to be making a bunch of Christmas cookies while she is here :o) It is so fun to have her here with us, she is the best!!! Thanks for coming Sharla!!!

Preparing for the Holidays

As some families are traveling to far away places to be with loved ones for Thanksgiving, we are enjoying each others company in our warm, yummy smelling, full of boys, a dog, Mamma, Daddy and Aunt Sharla home. My Aunt Sharla came from Pennsylvania to be with us for Thanksgiving, she arrived a little after 4 pm today and we have been having a wonderful time since then. We put away all the food and goodies she brought with her, then the boys, Sharla and I played a fun card game. We ate a quick dinner and now we are going to play some more card games. First I need to put sleepy head Kobe to bed, he is so tired that he is just crying and screaming.

On Monday night as other people were stressing about the drive, flight, train ride or horse back riding trip to see loved ones, my wonderful Husband was out playing basketball with his work buddies. He called me to tell me that he had rolled his ankle pretty bad and was in a lot of pain. He came home and laid on the bed and talked to me for a few minutes while he took off his shoe and showed me what the ankle looked like.

This is his good ankle (I know he has little skinny chicken legs).

This is what his bad ankle looked like.

It only got worse from here.

Poor thing got into the shower and started calling for me because he could not get out of the shower again by himself. I came over to help him and he was shaking so hard that he looked like he had taken an ice shower. I asked him if he had taken a cold shower and he said that he was in so much pain that he could not stop shaking! He was also in so much pain that he felt sick to his stomach and light headed. I helped him into the bed and gave him some Motrin 800 and rocked him to sleep (ok so I just sat in the bed next to him). Poor Dewayne was shaking and sweating in his sleep from the pain the whole night. He went to the doctors the next morning and was told that his ankle is just badly sprained, the doctor wrapped his ankle and gave him some stronger meds and sent him on his way. He is doing much better today, thank goodness because I need him to be healthy as a horse for the holidays :o)

Now, I want to share with you this recipe that I made for dinner the other night. This is nothing fancy, I just threw it together. I didn't know what to make for dinner and I don't even know how this came to be but here it is.

I started by making some rice.

Then I cooked well seasoned chicken on a pan in chicken broth.

I shredded the chicken into a big bowl.

Then I made some stove top stuffing and threw it into the bowl.

Then I added some corn on top.

I mixed everything together and put it into bowls on top of some rice and mixed it together. Everyone loved it. It took no time at all to make and the boys and Dewayne went crazy for this recipe!!!

Try it with some left over Turkey dinner :o)

Ok well that is it for now, time to put Kobe to bed and go play cards with the rest of the clan. Have a great night.

Toot Your Horn Tuesday and Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays...combined!

This week I am going to combine two of my favorite blog carnivals due to lack of time.

First comes Toot Your Horn Tuesday, a blog carnival created by Leah at A Silly Little Sparrow. Toot Your Horn Tuesday is a great way to brag about an accomplishment or just get some pats on the back for cleaning your house. If you would like to play along just click on the button above or just click on A Silly Little Sparrow and it will take you directly to Leah's blog.

This week I would like to Toot My Horn for not loosing my mind! Yep, you read that right. I am so amazed that I have not lost my mind by now and I think that deserves a Toot or two.

Let me explain what I am talking about. I have talked on here before that we are due to pick orders (choose where we would like the military to send us next....that does not mean we are going there though). Well Dewayne went to pick orders and the only thing they have available right now is Manama, Bahrain. Dewayne would have to go to Bahrain for 2 years.....with out us!!! That means our family would be separated for 2 whole years and we know that our marriage would never survive that.

That leaves us with the choice to get out of the military!!! That is a really scary thing to me, we have been in the military our whole marriage and we have had the security of a steady paycheck all that time. Now I am afraid of what happens if he can not get a job? Where will we live? How does this affect our marriage? How are the boys going to deal with this? Did I mention where are we going to live???

All of these things have been on our/my mind for the last month and it is scary as hell to think of. I am so relieved that I have not lost my mind and been admitted to the nut house( no pun intended Lisa)!!!

Now on to Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays!!! That is a blog carnival created by Mama M and Keely to try to get us to learn to eat right and work out. To make this a lifestyle and not another diet/failed workout plan. If you want to play along just click on Mama M's name or Keely's name and it will take you directly to their blogs.

Have you gotten into a good workout routine that you're able to stick to?

Um..yes and no!! I try to go to the community center here to work out four days a week but if I don't make it there I have a really hard time getting a work out in. I wasn't able to make it today but I have worked out for 20 minutes at home so far. I really need to find something that I like to do at home for the off days.

Did you try Keely's Pilates exercises...please say you did...please!?!

Yes I have tried Keely's Pilates exercises!!! I like the Pilates Hundred the best (I know I have said that before but it still holds true).

Did you get all your cardio in?

I did get about 200 minutes in this week.

Did you have any fast food...if so, did Mama M's awesome healthy tips post make you choose more carefully?

No I did not eat any fast food. I have been trying to stay away from fast food in the last few months and I did really good this last two weeks. I do try to watch my portion sizes and what I am eating now. Before I stuck it in my mouth and thought of the consequences after the fact. Now I am trying to think...Moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips (or belly in my case).

Last, but sooo not least...are you feeling Hot and Healthy?

Not really!!! Sorry to say that but every time I step on the scale and see that I have not lost a single pound I get a little bit discouraged. I do see a difference in my stomach but not something major that anyone else would notice. I think maybe I should start measuring myself and taking weekly pictures so I can see the change that way and not just on the scale.

Now wasn't that fun??? Now the McLinky below is for Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays so if you want to play along just link up :o)

Not me! Monday 11/23

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I don't have anything really exciting to blog about today so I am just going to blog about tubes!!!

Friday morning I got the phone call that I have been waiting for, the ENT's (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist) Nurse called to schedule Kobe's surgery to get his tubes put in his poor little ears. We saw the ENT in early October but Kobe was supposed to be having another surgery so the ENT was going to combine the two. Well as it turns out my little man does not need the second surgery after all so he is just needing tubes. His surgery is scheduled for December the 4th. Today was his pre-op appointment. This is where the not me's come into play :o)

This morning I did not wake Kobe up at 7 am (way too early for him) and get him ready to drive 45 minutes away to go to the ENT. Kobe was not happy as could be to wake up at the butt crack of dawn (for him). When we got to the hospital at 8:45 am (appointment was at 9:10am) we did not have to wait until 9:30 to be called in, only to wait another forever in the Drs office. The ENT then did not say to me "since I explained this all last year, do you have any questions?" I of course had no questions because I am an old pro at this.

The ENT then did not send us upstairs to the APU (I do not remember what that means) department to set up all the surgery stuff. When we got upstairs we did not sit up there for an hour and a half only for a nurse to walk up to me and tell me that when they put Kobe to sleep they are going to use the face mask because it is such a quick surgery and she asked if he had any drug allergies. That was it, then she told us we could leave!!! Did we really just sit in that hospital all morning for nothing??? They could have done this over the phone with me!!!

I do not dislike military hospitals!!! For that matter I do not dislike all hospitals because they make you wait forever, for nothing!!!

Then as soon as we were done at the hospital, Kobe and I did not rush to the community center to work out (well Kobe played in the daycare part while Mamma busted her butt). Now Kobe is not knocked out sleeping while his Mamma wishes she could be knocked out right there besides him.

That's it for my Not me! Monday today. I'm sorry it wasn't more fun than that, I had a really crazy busy day today and wanted to get my post in before it got too late. I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday.

Movie weekend

This weekend I went to the movies twice...yep you heard/read that right, TWICE!!! Last night Dewayne and I went on a date, this was the second weekend in a row that we went out to the movies. Last night the movie we saw was Law Abiding Citizen. Let me tell you all, that movie was flipping awesome!!! I was pleasantly surprised by how suspenseful the movie was. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was not really into going to see this movie but Dewayne was all about it so I agreed. I'm glad I did :o)

Tyrique wanted to go see The Blindside this weekend but it didn't quite work out the way he wanted. I offered to take him, Markus and a few of their friends to the movies instead and they happily agreed. We went to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. That movie was cute, the boys really liked it. I have to say that there were quite a few times where I was laughing but I don't think it was the best movie I have ever seen. It wasn't bad, I just don't thing it was as good as I was expecting. I would see it again though, well if I didn't have to pay for it :o)

What did you do this weekend?? Did you go see New Moon??? I really wanted to see it but I will go see that movie when it comes out on base. It's only $2 per person on base, that is the only reason why I went to the movies so much in the last two weeks.

Visit from Friends

I want to introduce Millie

Millie and I have been friends for over 5 years. We met when she was stationed at NASKeflavik, Iceland (that is where I lived from 2001-2006 and of course I am from Iceland). Millie and I didn't get along at first and then when we realized how much we are alike we hit it off. We have not seen each other since 2005 and this past Monday she surprised me with a phone call telling me she was coming to town. Millie told me that she was going to be bringing her daughter Tanya and granddaughter Remy along with her.
I met Tanya twice when she came to visit her Mom in Iceland and we hit it off pretty good. It was hard to get to know her as well as Millie because obviously Tanya was just there for a visit. The last time I saw Tanya was when she came to Iceland for Millie's Navy retirement. That retirement was so beautiful by the way :o)

Millie, Tanya, Remy and I went to Captain George's for dinner last night, we sat there for about 3 hours just catching up. It was so much fun and it was unbelievable how fast the time went. It's funny how many memories come back when we are among good friends. It was so wonderful getting to catch up with these ladies and I hope to do it again soon.

Markus and Tyrique were really excited to get to hold Remy. She is such a sweet little baby and was just loving all the attention she was getting from us. Kobe did not get to hold the baby, not that he wanted to :o) He just wanted to act like a baby while she was here. Kobe also wanted to hand us everything that the baby wanted such as her blanket and pacifier.

Now as a little surprise for Remy I knitted her a baby hat and booties like the ones I am going to sell on my etsy site and she modeled them for me.

These are two different hats and they are way too big on her tiny little head. They are also not supposed to flip up in the front but I didn't realize both the pictures were like that.

The booties are just so adorable on her. The pink and brown ones are the ones I gave her in the set and then the blue and brown ones go to a blue and brown hat and mitten set. As soon as I can get my site up and running I will have all of this up on etsy.

Now that everyone is gone and it is just us again, I am going to spend some quality time with my hubby and boys. Have a great Saturday!!!

My Favorite Things

Being that I was a little bit duh this whole week, I am a little bit late with this blog carnival that was created by Keely at MannLand5. The blog carnival is called My Favorite Things and this week she has a giveaway. No worries though, I plan on winning anyway so you have no chance at winning this one :o) I am just kidding, if you want to play along and enter at a chance to win the awesome prize head over to Keely's blog MannLand5 and join in!

One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is puppies. I love holding them and snuggling with them. I even LOVE puppy breath, it is so sweet. What I love more than anything else is my puppy.
Here is Maya about 4 weeks old.

Kobe kissing Maya. Look at how little she used to be.

I love my KitchenAid Mixer!!! I wanted one for so long and my wonderful sister Birgitta gave it to me for Christmas last year. Isn't she the coolest sister ever??? I think so!!!

I love my crocs!!! I used to make fun of people who wore them because I thought they were the ugliest shoes in the whole world. Once I put on a pair of crocs, I was sold!!!

My Blackberry Storm!!! I really love this phone!!! It is cute and I know how to use it (mostly).

This is my favorite item of all time....my Mac!!! I love this computer and I would never go back to a PC after using a Mac.

Well that's it for My Favorite Things. Again if you want to play along just visit Keely's blog and have a great time.

***I just wanted to say that we did not get Maya at 4 weeks old. I just have pics of Kobe with her that young. I do not want someone yelling at me telling me how horrible it is for a puppy to be taken from it's mother at such a young age. I know all that!!***

Five Question Friday 11/20

My Little Life

It is Friday and you know what that means...Five Question Friday!!! Five Question Friday is a blog carnival created by Mama M over at My Little Life. After reading my answers to THE 5 questions, head on over to Mama M's blog and read her answers or just link up to McLinky here at the bottom and play along.

1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?

I have been in the past but this year I am not going to do any shopping on Black Friday.

2.
What was your favorite childhood toy? (Think Easy Bake Oven, Cabbage Patch Kid, Shrinky Dinks, etc.)

My favorite toys were my baby dolls and Barbie dolls. I had two baby dolls that I always played with when I was little. The girl doll I got when I was 3 or 4 and she was the big sister. The boy doll I got the Christmas before I turned 6 and he was the little brother. I never played with just one, they were a set. I still have them to this day.

3.
Favorite Christmas movie?

Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase.

4.
What is the "must have" item on your Christmas list this year?

I have no Christmas list for myself. I just want my boys and husband to have a wonderful Christmas. I have not had a wish list since I was little.

5.
Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?

Both! My Christmas colors are Burgundy, Pink and Gold and I keep everything in those colors. I use only white lights on my tree and I use red lights in my windows. It takes me forever to decorate because of how specific I am with everything!!! I love it and that's all that matters. I do love homemade ornaments though, my aunt Sharla makes us homemade ornaments almost every year and those are my favorite. Also the ornaments that we have been given or ones I made with my Mamma and sister one year, they all have meaning to them and I love that.

Black Friday

For those of you who wait excited for the Black Friday ads to come out so you can prepare for your big shopping day, I have something for you!!! If you already know about this site...tell your friends, if you don't know...well now you know!!! The site to check out all the sales for Black Friday is right here. Have fun :o)

Headache

Tomorrow I have an old friend, her daughter and grandchild coming to visit. I have not seen my friend Millie in 4 years?? Maybe more, maybe less but I am really excited to see her and her family. Millie contacted me on Monday to let me know she was coming to town tomorrow and staying one night before heading back home. I of course offered them to stay with me, why pay for a hotel when you can stay at Hotel a la Helga??? Ok it may not be as nice as the Hilton but hey...it's free!!!

So knowing they are coming to town I have been cleaning house today, cleaning my carpets, the room they are sleeping in, the bathrooms, mopping every floor, the list goes on and on. While doing all of this cleaning I have been battling a major headache all day long!!! My head feels like it is going to explode any second, I took some meds earlier today and took a short nap to see if that would work but no luck. I woke up with a BOOM BOOM in my head. Off to Sam's Club and the Commissary I went to go grocery shopping for the necessities and now I am home. I am going to crawl into the bed after I finish writing this and close my eyes and ears to the world until tomorrow morning.

Have a great night everyone and see you tomorrow for Five Question Friday!!!

Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays! Third week

Last week the goal was to work out for a total of 170 minutes for the week and do 3 days worth of the Pilates Hundred. Those goals will remain the same for the next week except there is one new exercise being added in there....Criss cross. We are also looking to drink 8-10 cups of water per day and eat healthy snacks. To look up the information on the snacks and water go over to Mama M's blog and for all the excercise instructions go over to Keely's blog. Oh by the way...there is a giveaway going on this week that is really awesome.

Now for the questions of the week...

We bumped up the cardio goal last week to 170 minutes...did you meet it? Exceed it? Coulda done better?

I did not meet my cardio goals last week. I worked out for 120 minutes, that was only two days worth though. The November Nor'easter kinda screwed up my working out last week. I shouldn't have let it but with the whole family home three days last week, I didn't get anything done that I should have.

How about the eating? Snacking less? Or "snacking smart"?

I did a good job with my eating last week. I did cheat one day when I made chocolate chip cookies...I couldn't resist. I only had a few :o) Other than that I tried to snack smart.

How's the water consumption going?

Uuuhhh..what who me??? Are you talking to me??? Couldn't be cause I don't drink water!!! Yeah you read that right, I don't drink water. I don't like the taste of it!!! Oh wait...water has no taste to it!!! I have been trying to drink more water though. I always take water with me when I work out and I try to drink as much as I can while I am there. My water bottle is (wait I have to get up and go check....oh good you are still here), the water bottle is 33.8 oz each and I drink almost a whole one every day. Gosh I am kinda shocked, I didn't realize I was drinking so much water. That is almost 4 cups of water per day :o) I am going to get better at this though, one fine day I will be drinking 8 cups of water per day!!!

Have you been trying Keely's recommended Pilates exercises?

I do the Pilates Hundred and I love those. Not while I am doing them, they hurt. I have been trying to do the Pilates Hundred every day even if I don't work out and last week I think I got 5 days.

Well now that you have read my questions go over to Mama M's blog or Keely's blog and read their answers and everyone else's. After reading then join in the fun :o)

Toot Your Horn Tuesday 11/17

EXTRA EXTRA read all about it!!!

Leah from A Silly Little Sparrow is back this week with her fun blog carnival Toot Your Horn Tuesday. Tooting Your Horn is a great way to boost your ego, make you feel better about yourself or just to get a little bit of attention :o) So come play along and start Tooting Your Horn this wonderful, fabulous Tuesday!!!

Today I am just going to keep tooting my horn about the fact that I drove to Ohio all alone to make my Mamma happy!!! The truth is...I am too tired still to try to think of something else to Toot about. After a weekend like that it takes forever to recover and get back to normal. Sunday morning when I got I tried to go to sleep at about 10 am and Kobe laid with me in the bed and watched Dora. Kobe was basically laying underneath me the whole time because he could not get close enough to his Mamma (he really missed me :o). Well Dewayne left right before 11 to take Kobe to church and they were home right after 1. In the two hours they were gone my phone rang six thousand times!!! I am not kidding, the darn phone would not stop ringing and I kept pushing ignore and still the phone kept ringing.

The funny thing is before I went to sleep I left a status message on my facebook account that said "I'm finally home!!! I am going to kiss all my many boys and then I am going to crash in my bed for a long time. Don't call me and don't come over!!! :o)" I guess no one read that status or they just ignored it and decided to call anyway!!!

So at 1 pm, 3 hours after I had tried to go to sleep, I got out of bed and decided that I would not waste the day laying in bed. So downstairs I went to lay on the couch....HAHAHAHAHA and spent the day there with my boys and hubby. Then Dewayne and I went on a date to the movies to see Couples Retreat. That was a great movie by the way!!! It was really funny, tears were running down my cheeks from laughing so hard.

Ok so this wasn't really a Toot my horn....just kind of a little bit about me :o) Now if you want to Toot Your Horn, head over to Leah's blog and have a great time. Trust me you wont regret it.

Not me! Monday 11/16

As I mentioned in my post on Saturday I had to drive to Cleveland, Ohio to get a china set for my Mamma. I did not drive 8.5 hours to Ohio all by myself. And since I did not drive all by my lonesome I was definitely not taking pictures in the car to keep myself occupied.

I surely did not drink 5 or 6 of these 5 hour energies in less than 24 hours when the warning label on the back clearly states...Do not drink more than 1 or 2 in a 24 hour period!!! Ooops, guess I was not paying attention...well until the 5th or 6th one.

I did not look horrible in this picture (sorry).

I'm not the biggest dork taking pictures of myself in the rear view mirror!!!

This is not the traffic behind me :o)

This is not the junk I drank and chewed (gum) while driving.
That is not my cell phone that I could not have done this without!!!

My GPS/TV/LIFESAVER that I do not LOVE!!!! I don't know we did before having a GPS (and don't say read maps because I never did that). I used to use mapquest a lot but it sucked when there was construction or an accident and the road was blocked.

So when I got to Ohio I had to pack up all the china and put it in the car. I got to Cleveland at about 4:10 pm as you can see on the GPS. I had planned on packing the china, peeing, saying my Hello's and Goodbye's and then hitting the road. Well I was not allowed to leave until 10:45 pm because I had to take a nap before I left. The nap did not do me any good, it just made the rest of the trip that much harder. The Pennsylvania turnpike was closed at one part and I had to get off the turnpike and try to figure out a way to get back on it and that took an hour. I hit really bad fog when I was finishing up driving in Pennsylvania and it lasted for most of Maryland. The fog was so bad that I could barely see a few feet in front of the car and I was praying like crazy that I would not hit another car or a deer (or any kind of animal). I didn't get home until a little after 9 am yesterday morning and I was exhausted by that point. I am so glad that the trip is over and I got my Mamma's dream china set for her.

A little story on the china set....
My Mamma has always wanted the Old country Roses china set, it has been her dream to own for as long as I can remember. Old Country Roses was discontinued not too long ago so now it is worth more money and harder for my Mamma to get because it is not sold in stores. Well an old friend of my Grandmothers (she has known her for most of her life) is getting older and she is sick. Well this friend of my Grandmothers told my Mamma that she could have her china set but she had to get it and pack it up before she dies. So being that I am the only person that actually lives in this country I went to get the china set for my Mamma and I am sending it off this Friday. Needless to say I am my Mamma's favorite daughter right now :o)
