The Yule Lad to arrive tonight is Hurðaskellir also known as Door Slammer. Hurðaskellir is my sisters favorite Yule Lad. I remember when we were little, this is the Yule Lad my sister waited or each year and I swear he brought her better presents in her shoe than all the rest :o)
Door Slammer is one of only two brothers who is not completely obsessed with their stomachs. Door Slammer likes to creep in during the middle of the night when the whole house is sleeping. He is quiet as a mouse, until.....
He gets to the door! Then Bam, he slams the door and wakes the whole house!!! Door Slammer loves to walk from house to house waking everyone from their peaceful sleep with a slam of the door.
Imagine what how uncomfortable it is to wake up to your door slamming!
