Extreme Life Makeover

So I have had a crazy couple of days.  Monday I went to my Mamma's house and spent the day there.  My sister Birgitta went too and so did my Grandmother.  We sat around chit chatting and doing all kinds of knitting and crocheting.  It was such a great day and I loved it!!  The boys and I got home about 11 pm and went to sleep shortly after that.

Yesterday I went to visit my cousin and her little boy and sat and chit chatted and knitted for a few hours.  Her son is sooooo cute and I love him to pieces and I love that he loves me too to pieces (he is almost 6 months old and he is a little bit shy but he loves me :o).  After I left my cousins house my sister and I went to the bike store in town.  I bought a really nice bike that I am super excited about and since I was in the buying spirit I decided to buy a seat for Kobe for the back of the bike.  My sister bought herself a bike too since she is doing this 30 by 30 challenge with me.  We rode our bikes all the way home from the bike store and then we took the kids on a bike ride after that.  Lets just say my bottom is REALLY sore today!!!

After we got back from our wonderful bike ride my sisters and I took all my stuff and moved everything I own into one of the bedrooms in my apartment and took my mattress and the boys's mattress to my sister Birgitta's house.  My apartment is empty (well except the one room) of everything and today my wonderful brother in law is starting the process of ripping out the old hardwood floors and baseboards and sanding the window sill down to get it ready to be re-painted.  My Dad is going to come in sometime in the next few days (week?) and help my brother in law put in new hardwood floors and then my Dad is going to re-tile the bathroom and put in a new shower.

I am so excited for this work to start....it has been a long time coming.  I am putting my apartment up for sale after all this work is done and I hope it sells quickly after getting this Extreme Home Makeover :o)  We are too big of a family for this apartment and I need to get into something bigger but we will make do until I sell it.

So I am trying to figure out a good day to start my 30 by 30 on my blog and I dunno what day is a good day. I want to do my weigh ins on Fridays but I am thinking that I need to do a post once or twice a week on things I am doing and goals to reach.  Do you guys want to join in with the goals or something like that?  Last year I did Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays with Keely and Mama M and I really liked how we checked in with each other and how they had food and work out tips.  Are any of you interested in doing something of that sort??  I have some ideas in regards to goals to achieve and they are something that anyone can reach and anyone can participate in.

I am gonna be real when it comes to this weight loss.  I plan on telling you all my height and weight and I plan on taking a picture once a week of myself and posting it on here for us all to see the difference.  I need some way to keep myself accountable and I need your help in doing so.  You don't have to do anything you are not comfortable with but I think you should join in this great journey :o)

****Did you see that I am the commenter of the week on Keely's blog???  I feel so special....thanks Keely :o)****

Congrats on being the commenter of the week, Helga! Way to go!

I love your sister's name...Birgitta. How cute! You should post a pic of your sisters (or are they opposed to that?).

Great purchase with the bikes! Fun way to work out! I'd like to join you, but I have quite a few limitations right now. Every time my body heats up (as in every time my heart rate speeds up due to any exercise), my symptoms come on full force - so I'm pretty limited. Sorry. That's why I haven't commented on any of the exercise stuff. My meds have me losing weight, though...guess there's a silver lining to everything...

But, I'm always into the healthy eating - especially making typical "unhealthy, yummy food" into healthier choices. Have you seen Jen's (3 LIttle Monkeys) recipe for yam fries? Delicious!

Anyhow, can't wait to cheer you on! And, I think your ideas are great! I know you're going to be fiercely successful! YOu go, girl!

Over at a belle, a bean and a chicago dog community on Blogfrog we are all going to start the 30 day shred video, you should join in. We are going to comment on the thread and let people know how we are doing. I think we are starting it on the 26th so that people have time to get the video. I just got a bike too, you will have to get yourself some padded shorts for riding to prevent the sore bottom LOL! I got mine and I now understand why the professionals wear them.

Hi! Visiting from MannLand5! Girl, I think you are one after my own heart! I am a knitter too. I love to sew! I LOVE vampires (and werewolves, can't forget the werewolves!)! I am on my own weightloss journey (mine's by 31 as I was pregnant for my 30th-it was a SHOCK!). Oh, and I would LOVE to go to Iceland!! I really enjoyed what I read today! You have a new follower!
