Not Me! Monday 1/11/10

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I am not so tired of all the packing and living in Box City that I just want to go to Chicago now and let Dewayne do the rest. Nope, Not me! I would never want to leave all this work for my husband so I can be lazy!

I am not super nervous that he will find a house that I will hate. Nope, I have more trust in my husband than that. I am also not freaking out about not receiving enough pictures of these houses.

I was not supposed to go to the lab on Friday morning to have my blood drawn, I did not skip that so I could go to Mommy Moments instead...without Kobe. Kobe did not stay home with Tyrique (home due to suspension) and Markus (home due to stomach flu).

Markus did not then pass his stomach flu on to Tyrique who was throwing up all day yesterday. I am not scared of when Kobe gets this stomach flu.

My batteries in the keyboard did not die again on me while I was in the middle of typing this post. I had already signed the MckLinky on MckMama's page and it has taken me a few hours to wait for my rechargeable batteries to charge.

I am not going to watch the movie Precious while folding laundry in the living room with the boys. They have not been waiting since yesterday to watch this movie with me.

I am not going to the REDBOX to get more free movies tonight because we have no cable. Nope, not me!

Oh, girl, you are going to be so happy to get out of there! When is this date?
Mike has picked rentals without me having seen them. One, I cried the night I got there - the lady had died in it, and we had to clean out all her stuff - she was an artist and had this creepy picture she drew of a face hanging on the wall. It made my skin crawl. It looked like it was watching me. (This was in North Carolina.)

But, the more junk we cleaned out of there, the more I learned about her, and I became fascinated by her. This was before blogs and websites and before personal computers were really popular.(Does this date me?) It was like stepping back into a historical novel. It ended up pretty cool. Alot of work, but pretty cool.
North Carolina was neat - but a different world, compared to Milwaukee, where I was raised (about 1 1/2 hours from Chicago). Another planet, really. :)

The place I lived in before we moved here, the husband had died at home a few months before I moved in. His little girls found him when they came home from school....he had a hear attack or something like that. I didn't know any of this before I moved in. It never really bothered me knowing this though. It just made me sad for the little girls and the Mom.

Yeah, I can imagine NC being different than Milwaukee. NC is way different than Virginia and we are the state above them :o) I like NC though, I like the secludedness (is that a word??) of it. I also like how cheap it is to live there :o)

Dewayne thinks he found a house, he is there right now for the second time. The guy really liked Dewayne and has called him a few times asking him to come back and see what can be done. We wanted a fenced in yard and the guy is willing to do that for us (not sure when he is going to do that though), we want a dishwasher (even if I have to buy it myself) and the guy said he would install it if I buy it :o) Dewayne said he would take lots of pictures for me tonight because the pictures he took the other day were not really good. I hope it's nice though...I'm nervous. One thing Dewayne has asked the guy is, wheather we can sign the lease when we get there. That way, if I hate it we are not stuck there. I hope the guy agrees :o)

Oh, I hope it's as good as he seems to think it is!!!! If so, that would be fast! We NEVER seem to find a home that fast - it takes us months - at least three months! One time, we lived in a hotel for three months - with a two year old and a three year old. Interesting... :) Another time, we lived with my in-laws for a few months when I was pregnant with our first...they're wonderful people, and I love them dearly, and I appreciate that we could have a place with them - but it's difficult living with people - especially when you're hormonal & trying to impress your in-laws.

There's NO WAY you could live with anyone with three kids and the two of you...oh, my gosh...that would be the sure way to ruin a relationship! Yikes! Smart move! It would be great if you could sign a month-by-month lease...
