Sad day

Last night Kobe was playing with some cans and I thought....it's innocent and not like he is going to be able to break them, it's cans!!!

I didn't think he would throw one of the cans on the top of my foot :o( It hurt so badly and now I have a nice little half moon bruise to show for it.

There is a lot going on here in our household, things that I am going to talk to you about tomorrow. Due to everything that is going on, we have to give up Maya. My beautiful, wonderful little princess!

These two are best friends and I know that this is going to be so hard for them both.
I can't help but cry every time I look at her sweet little face. I never wanted to get rid of her and now this is breaking my little heart.
I hope she is happy with her new family and gets to go on many long walks and gets to run around like a chicken without her head anytime she wants to (she likes to run crazy around the house).

Below is a video of Maya and Kobe that I took today. Kobe was playing hide and go seek in the couch cushions and Maya wanted to play along.

How come you have to give up Maya?
And that's a nice trophy you got on your foot there. Hang in there.

Oh, Helga - I'm so sorry! I know you wouldn't give her up unless it was the best thing to do. It must be, then. And I know it must be difficult. I'm so sorry. I will be thinking of you and praying for you in this difficult time, my dear friend.

Ok, that looks painful!

I'm so sorry you had to give up Maya. You've got to be just devistated! It's only fair to both of you though if you can no longer take care of her. Take care of yourself and know that she will be loved by her new family.
