Losing it with Jillian Michaels

I am going to write another post about TV shows in less than a week....sad but I just watched something that has inspired me.  I watched a few episodes of Losing it with Jillian Michaels and I am impressed!!!!   Watching The Biggest Loser over the years I have always wanted to be on the show, I have talked about it on this blog but of course I have never been on the show and probably will never be on the show.  I was always in awe over the fact that the contestants lost so much weight in such a short amount of time and it always seemed unreal to me and undoable (is that a word).  I always thought that the contestants were losing the weight because Jillian and Bob were there to kick their butts into gear but then I watched the show Losing it with J.M. and I see that these people are losing crazy amounts of weight and there is no one there to kick their butt every day!!!  These people are doing it themselves after being taught how to exercise properly and how to eat properly!!!  If they can do it then why can't I???  I really need to get my butt in gear!  I wanted to do the 30 by 30 but life keeps getting in my way and I never get anything accomplished :o(

I started the C25K (couch to 5k) a few weeks back with my sister and a few friends.  We did great for a few weeks and then we started cancelling on each other and I had to skip it this day because I had to take Ty to light therapy and then I had to skip it that day because I had to take Kobe to my Mom's or blah blah blah excuse after stupid excuse and I am back to square one!!!

I am tired of being overweight and I want to get my act together and get back to the way I used to be.  Not skinny but not fat....just right!!!

I am going to start eating right.....working out is not enough and eating right with no working out is not enough either!!!  I have to do it right and eat right and work out!!!!

Is anyone out there interested in doing some sort of weight loss/living right support system blog hop (if that wan't written wrong in so many ways then I don't know what is lol)????  Let me know what you think and let's get the ball rolling!!  Let's support each other and get healthy!!!

That's great you are on the healthy lifestyle journey. It's a tough journey, with many ups and downs but well worth it. If you want, feel free to print off a few recipes from my blog...they are ALL healthy AND tasty! And feel free to ask me any questions you may have about food and fitness!

I'd love to. But, can you exercise for me??? (Can you see the problem here?) Actually, I do need to do something. I can't do anything crazy, because of limitations - but I need to do something. I need to get moving. And, I have lost weight because I don't have an appetite...but, I need to start eating - but, healthy stuff. (I've been living on Pita Chips and Red Pepper Hummus - not unhealthy - but that's ALL I've been eating...we need to get something green in there...)
So, I don't know that I can follow a program, but I'm with you on doing SOMETHING...I know what I need to do.
After dinner tonight I am taking Bridgette with me to the YMCA and working out. No excuses.
I'm not so much after losing weight as I am after being healthy. (I can't exercise too long before my body heats up and my symptoms flare up and my leg drags and everyone looks at me like "poor baby"...blah, blah, blah...long story...sad story...point is, I know what I need to do and I'm not doing it!)
***Remember last year when I didn't have to deal with this stuff and I just wanted to lose weight like normal people?****
Anyhow...I'm with you!
