Seriously???

A few weeks ago I wrote about taking the boys to the doctors to get their school physical.  I had to take Markus to get a ct scan on his brain and sinus's and he had to have an EKG and Echo cardiogram.  Tyrique had to have x-rays on his knees and he was supposed to go see a dermatologist for his eczema (the doctor said he would get us the appointment to see the dermatologist and call me with the info).

I took the boys right away to get all the tests done and was really worried about the results.  I called and stalked the doctor about the test results for Markus and was told that his EKG and Echo had come back normal.  I asked about his CT scan and was told that the doctor didn't have the results back yet and he would call me as soon as he did.  I'm still waiting!!!!

Tyrique has still not seen a dermatologist for his skin....the doctor never called back even though I have called his pediatrician repedetly.  I got an answer in regards to his x-rays on his knees....he has some sort of bone deficiency in his left knee and I was asked to go take him to get an MRI right away so we can see what kind of bone deficiency it is.  I made an appointment right away and called the doctor a few days later to find out the test results and I was told that they would call me right back with the test results.

I am still waiting.  I have called a few times and everytime I call they tell me they will call me back :o(  I'm tired of waiting so this morning I called and told the girl that I was calling to find out the test results for my sons and she asked for the first name and asked me to hold.  I waited and she came back and told me Markus's CT scan came back fine.  Then I told her Tyrique's name and she got mad and said...you never told me you needed test results for two kids!!!

I said to her that I had told her from the beginning that I was waiting for the test results for my sons as in two sons not just one son.  The girl was so nasty to me and made sure I knew that this was an inconvinience for her to be getting the results.  I asked to speak to her supervisor and when the other girl came on the phone she was just as nasty as the first girl and told me that I just have to wait and they will call me back.  I told her that I have been waiting for weeks on these test results and that I am moving out of the country on Monday and she said....I am going to have to call you back!!!  I asked her if I could please wait while she looks up the results and she said NO!!!  We are busy and have to call you back!!!  Seriously!!!  I am so irritated with them!!  How do rude people keep their jobs???

I just called the doctors office back and was told that the doctor has to give me the test results and he should be there in 10 minutes.  Do you think he is going to call me today??  I seriously doubt it!!!  This is so frustrating!!  I just want to scream and yell and cry.....oh wait, I have done all of those things in the last 30 minutes.  Why do people have to make things like this so difficult.  I just want to know that my kids are safe.  The doctor scared me so bad the first time I went there and I just want to be able to breath easy knowing that both of my sons are healthy and they don't need anything further done.

Oh you are so much better than me! I would have drove my butt down there & not left until I got what I wanted...SO IRRITATING! This should be completely unacceptable! :( Sorry!

I'd have gone to see a new doctor already. These people act the way they do because people let them get away with it. Take your boys to a different doctor just for your peace of mind!

(By the way, I found you through Friday Follow!)

You are far more patient then I am...after being treated that rudely, I probably would have shown up in person at their office...LOL! I hate dealing with doctors and ect...I have been waiting for four months now to see a specialist because I am going deaf and have tinnitus in my left ear...but I have been dealing with ear issues for ten or more years..and my fav response was the doc who said..."Well...what do you want me to do about it!" BTW..I also found you through Friday Follow...

I don't blame you for being frustrated! Not that it will probably matter, but make sure you let the doctor know what you think about it.

Maybe it's a good thing you aren't in Iceland yet....volcano and all that trouble. Take it easy. About the bikes, I took my boys bikes (big boys, big bikes) on a flight once. Boxes that fit come from Bike Stores. They often have ones to give away. Bags for bikes are specifically made for individual bikes, or generic ones for usual sizes. DO NOT WAIT until you get to the airport. You will have to arrive with the bikes ready to load in oversized and specials. Good luck with that one.
I hope you get to take all you want to pack with you. Is the 2 bags per person rule going to hamper your plans?????

Good Luck with the big move, and starting over. It will be wonderful to hear about life in Iceland once you get settled there.

Following from Friday Follow.

Trying to get test results from doctors can be near impossible. I would bet you didn't hear back from the doctor in ten minutes.

Thanks for the follow, following you back.
