What a bad couple of days.....

So first of all let me tell you about the phone call I got this morning....

Dewayne called to tell me that the orders we picked no longer apply.  He had to put in an extension to stay in the military because next year he has to reenlist.  Well the extension has not gone through so we have to pick orders again next month and this months orders that we picked are no longer any good.  WTF I am so disappointed, I was looking forward to knowing our future in the next month and now I have to wait two months before I know anything.  That means I only have 5 months or less to prepare for a move!!!!  Oh well God is definitely testing my patients with these orders.

So on to the next thing that happened this weekend.

The boys had their friends stay the night on Friday and they were all laying on the couch watching Dark Knight.  Well the boys started falling asleep on the couch so I told them they could just sleep there that night (my boys love sleeping on the couch).  Well I woke up to some noise down stairs at 5:30 am and told the boys to go to sleep.  Well then I get out of bed on Saturday morning and go down stairs to start my day and I turned the TV on so Kobe could watch some cartoons.  The TV had a huge crack in the screen and the screen was all kinds of different colors.  We called the boys into the living room and asked them what happened and they said they were playing the Wii and Tyrique accidentally threw the remote at the TV!!!  Holy shit my TV is ruined because of that damn Wii!!!  So now I have to call the insurance company and claim the TV and we have to pay a $250 deductible to get a new one.  I am so glad I have insurance but I am so pissed that my TV is ruined.  Tyrique is not in any trouble for breaking the TV because we know it was just an accident but he is in trouble for not telling us that he broke the TV.  He said he didn't want to tell me because he didn't want me to wake up in a bad mood.  Poor thing he feels so bad about the TV and I know that it is really bothering him.  He keeps talking about it and I told him that we understand that it was an accident and we are not blaming him for it.  

Yeah so that is the run down of what has been going on here.  Oh I forgot to mention that I did get an e-mail on Saturday from one of my daycare parents giving me her child's 2 week notice.  It is because he is always sick and she is mad because I will not watch him when he is sick and she can not understand that.  He had the stomach flu before Christmas and she brought him here sick and he got my kids sick.  Now last week she brought him here and again he had the stomach flu and I told her he could not come back until he was over the stomach flu and she had to find someone else to watch him.  I can not put all the other children and their families at risk just because she doesn't want to miss a day from work.  She told me in her e-mail that she was giving me her notice because she found someone that lives closer to her house and she is going to get a new job closer to her house cause the driving back and forth is too much for her.  Why couldn't she just be honest with me??  I know why she is giving me her notice and I just feel bad for her child because it took him such a long time adjusting to daycare and now she is putting him in his 3rd daycare in 7 months!!!

Orders Have been picked!!!

This morning at 8:55 am Dewayne called me to tell me that he was going to see the Detailer about picking orders.  OMG I got this huge knot in my stomach and he asked me where I wanted to go besides Italy and I told him to pick something good :0)  Well he just got home with our list of places that he picked and here are the 5 possible places I will be moving to in 6 months.

1. NSA Gaeta Italy

2. NSA Gaeta Italy

3. VFA 81 NAS Oceana Virginia Beach (we would stay here)

4. VQ3 Tinker Oklahoma

5. LHD4 San Diego California

Of course our top pick is Gaeta Italy but Dewayne thinks we will end up staying put here and I have a feeling we are going to be sent to San Diego.  I ask that you all keep your fingers crossed and send us some Italy vibes so we can be close to home.  The detailer said that we should know next month sometime!!!  OMG I am really excited and I need to calm down because I have a long ass wait ahead of me.

God works in mysterious ways....

Every time things are really hard and we feel like we can't take anymore God steps in and shows us how great he is!!!

I have some troubles with my daycare in the last few months, kids quitting, parents not paying, drama with parents, etc.  Well I had one spot open and I really needed to fill that spot so I advertised the spot last week and got a few responses but nothing good.  I was feeling a little hopeless about finding another child to fit into our wonderful little group and God worked his miracle.  I had a little boy that I was watching until November when his mom quit working and his mom called me this week and asked if I could take him back!!!  I am so excited that means I have a full house again and full pay again :0)

Starting Monday I have a full house again and I am so happy with the way things are working out.  Also we are up for orders this month or next and we are hoping and praying that we can get Italy!!!  We wont really know anything about orders though for a few months and I promise I will let the world know as soon as we know something.  We are due to leave VA in July so we still have 6 months left here.

1.  A quiet house

2. No laundry to have to do

4. Healthy children

5. Carpet cleaning machine (I am so glad I have my own because I am going to be doing carpets in a few minutes when the kids are sleeping)

On to the report from the dentist.....

Well Kobe of course did fine because he only has 10 teeth (two are coming in on the bottom and that will make it 12).  His teeth all looked good so he was just there for a check up.  Tyrique was not able to be seen because we found out that he has NO DENTAL INSURANCE, we need to get him on Dewayne's page 2 so he can be under our insurance plan an not his dads.  Then there is Markus.....my sweet tooth child who is not the biggest fan of brushing his teeth.  Markus has 8 cavities and needs to have two baby teeth pulled out and Dewayne thought the dentist had said that he needs two crowns as well but I need to go with him the next time so I can find out exactly what is going on.  My poor baby, Markus came home and he was not happy with the results of the dentist (I wasn't either but I had a feeling it was going to be bad news).  Oh well now he is going to be better at brushing his teeth and he is going to stay away from sweets and sugary drinks.  We decided that we are just going to make that a family effort, quit buying candy, junk food and sugary drinks.  Maybe I will loose some weight by doing that :0)

Ok well enough for today, I need to get cleaning and carpet cleaning.

Happy New Year

So I suck at writing lately and I apologize.  I get really caught up in other peoples blogs and I read all kinds of different blogs and think to myself that I need to be better at writing and then I continue to suck at it!!!!  WTF???  Ok well I am going to try to write more often if even just to write a sentence or two.

Today the boys are going to the Dentist and Markus is so excited he can't wait.  They are going to Kool smiles which is a dentist office for kids.  They have lots of toys and TVs and fun activities for the kids to do.  All three of the boys have appointments and I think we will be going back for the older two quite a bit.  I am sure there are some cavities in those teeth.  Oh well you live and you learn right?  Maybe this will get the boys to brush their teeth three times a day like they are supposed to do.  I just want them to at least brush their teeth twice a day, that would make me happy.  Well here's to hoping for the best for my little munchkins.

Christmas Spirit

I am in so much of a Christmas mood today...I have been looking up Christmas cookie recipes for the last hour (I would call my Mamma and get the recipes from her but she is not coming online or answering my text....I am so impatient and she should know that.  LOL).  I am sure I will talk to her soon but I just wanted to get the recipes because my wonderful friend Sigrún is going to let me borrow her Kitchen Aid mixer so I can bake :0)  The thing is I only have it for tonight and possible a little bit tomorrow, her Mamma is in town and they are going to make Christmas cookies themselves.  I am so excited to bake these damn cookies and I think it is funny cause I have not been in this much of a Christmas mood in a LONG time (meaning I have not been in this kind of Christmas mood for many Christmas´s in a row).  I just want my house to smell like Gingerbread cookies and have more of a Christmas feel to it.

Well I am waiting to get my CD of family pictures and then I am going to have my Christmas cards printed out so I can send them.  I was going to have some printed out and send them home to Iceland but I have found a great site www.mommur.is that have Christmas cookie recipes and they make Christmas cards for 90kr a piece with pictures (that equals out to about 74 cents each) and I think that will be my cheapest way to go.  I am going to have either Mamma or Birgitta (my lil sister) get them and send them out for me.  This is the first Christmas ever that I will be sending out Christmas cards (humm maybe I am growing up....lol at almost 28 years old that is kinda late).  

I got a camera for Christmas from Dewayne, it is a Canon power shot SD1100 and guess what???  Do you give up?  The camera is PINK!!!!  I love it and I got a beautiful pink carrier for it!  I have been taking pics of the boys and I also took some video of Kobe talking and now I just need to figure out how send the video to my family in Iceland so they can see my little man.  I am so damn excited about everything!!!!  I am almost completely done with my Christmas shopping, basically I just have the last little bit and I need to send the presents to Iceland ASAP  so they get there in time.  

Ok well enough for now, I need to start writing my shopping list so I can go to the grocery store and then start baking Christmas cookies.  Oh and by the way....I have the outside of the house all decorated and I have my kitchen and hallway all decorated but I will not have a tree up until the weekend before Christmas cause I am not fighting 5 little babies trying to keep them away from the tree.  I still need to put the lights in the windows and I am hoping to do that this weekend.  Ok bye for now.
