Pictures from Iceland

Sorry I haven't written in a while!!!  I had these pictures ready to go a few days ago but then I got a phone call from my Mamma asking me if I wanted to come to her house for a few days since the boys had off from school and I just up and left and forgot to finish my post!!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went to my Mamma's house and she took us on a drive around the country.  We stopped at a little cabin that one of her friends owns and Kobe got to play outside with the dogs (sorry there are no pictures of him with the dogs).  As I was looking around I told my Mamma that I needed to take pictures so that I could show you, my blog readers how beautiful it is here in Iceland.

The view from the cabin was amazing....the have a beautiful view of the ocean in front and a gorgeous mountain view in the back!!!  Can't beat that huh?

There are a few other cabins in the pictures that are located close to this one.  The cabin that is in the sixth picture is the one that my Mamma's friend owns.

Kobe says

The other day Kobe turned to me and said.....Mommy, your my Princess!!!  I was so happy and said to him....Kobe, your my Prince.  He then looked really serious and said to me.....No Mommy, I'm not a frog!!!!  Can you tell he was thinking about the movie The Princess and the Frog?  I love the cute lil things that come out of his mouth :o)

Monkey Minute

Today I read a story about a beautiful little girl named Monkey.  Monkey is a sweet little 16 month old girl who was just diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.  I can't even imagine what her parents are going through after hearing these news.  I ask that you all click on the button in the left top corner of my blog and visit her family blog and show them some love.

1. How old do you act?

I would say that most days I act my age.  I can laugh and joke but I am 29 and act that way :o)

2. As far back as you can remember what did you want to be when you grew up?

A lawyer!

3. If you were to write a book based on your life, what would the title be?

Drama Queen and her three sons!!!  LOL I'm kidding, I don't have a clue!

4. What's something that you do that is considered childish by most?

I love to poke people and tease them till they get irritated with me....it is my way of getting attention and the only thing I get out of it is someone yelling at me to leave them alone :o(  I have done this since I was tiny little and I still do it.  I was poking Tyrique earlier today and laughing and he got really irritated with me?  I don't get it, why wasn't he laughing with me?  

5. The last question isn't a question.  Write a story of a time when you or someone you know overcame great adversity.

I honestly don't think I have anything worthy to say about me here but I do have a step dad that was diagnosed with Colon Cancer the day Kobe was born (September 6, 2007).  He had surgery to remove it and his scar is WAY bigger than my c-section scar and he had endless rounds (that's what it seemed like but it was about 6 months worth) of chemo and today I am proud to say that he is cancer free!!!  He went to a check up just last week and everything came back clean.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all of you wonderful Mothers!!!  Where would we be without our mommy´s???  Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful Mamma!!!

I had a girls night last night here at my house and we had so much fun.   There was me, my sister, my bestest friend Sigrun and my cousin Sylvia.  We sat around drinking wine and girly drinks and ate candy and snacks.  We had such a good time talking and reminiscing.  I missed this more than I realized, it feels so good to be surrounded by my family and friends :o)

I finally got my house in order, everything is put away and the house looks good.  It took me 2 weeks to unpack completely and put everything in its place.  My kitchen is not done yet because my brother in law had to work this weekend but I am hoping he can get most of it done in the next few days while he is off from work.  As soon as the kitchen is done I will take pictures and post them on here so you can see what a difference it is.

Okay I am off to my sisters house now.  I hope you all have a wonderful day with your loved ones!

Face lift

Sorry I have been MIA the last few days.  I am having some work done on my house and have not been able to be in the house for the last few days.  My brother in law is sanding down my cabinets so I can stain them.  I am so excited to have them done.  I have never liked them and now that the paint is being stripped off and I am seeing how beautiful the wood is underneath....I am in love!!!  I will post pics when everything is done so you can see how good they look.  I can't stay in my house while this work is being done because the dust is so bad and the smell of the fumes is danger to inhale.  I have been staying with my sister and will hopefully be able to come home tonight.  I hope you are all doing great!!

BTW, the pictures of Kobe and Tyrique were taken right before we landed.  They slept almost the whole time while we were in the first plane.

If you look closely you will see the basketball right before it hit that man in the face!!!  Kobe didn't kick it hard and the guy laughed about it and started playing with him after that.

Kobe knocked out finally in the plane on its way to Iceland.  He fell asleep right before we landed.  Poor thing was done for by the time we got to Iceland.

Tyrique was so tired, he managed to sleep most of the way to Iceland.

Markus didn't sleep at all and he was exhausted by the time we got to Iceland.

I didn't sleep at all in the third plane and was exhausted too by the time we got to Iceland.

Getting to Know YOU in Iceland!

I went to my Mamma's house on Thursday and stayed there until yesterday and it was so nice!  I love being close to her, my sisters and step Dad.  They live about an hour and a half away and it is a beautiful ride with lots of horsey's and sheep to look at along the way...Kobe loves it :o)  I started knitting a new sweater for Kobe in Turquoise, brown, light green and white!  I can't wait to see how the colors turn out, I think it's gonna be great :o)

Here are this weeks questions....

1. Are you superstitious?

Yes and No!!  When it comes to some things I can't help it...like knocking on wood and such but with other things like black cats...no so much!!!

2. If you were an animal..what kind would you be?

The first thing that comes to mind is Monkey...I guess we will just go with that :o)  Monkeys are cute and fun and I love how they are with each other and their children :o)

3. You would never catch me wearing.........?

Nothing at a nude beach LOL!!!  I am not going to say anything because I feel like every time I say I would never do this or never wear this....it happens!!!  So I can guarantee that I would never be caught nude at a nude beach (I would never go there anyway) LOL.

4.  If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?

Most of the time.  I think it is fun to see what the face behind the blog looks like :o)  I am too chicken to do one myself though LOL.

5. Have you ever waxed your girlie/manly parts..or any other part of your body?

Yes, I have gotten my girlie parts and legs waxed.  I didn't like getting my girlie parts waxed because I got really bad bumps.  After trying a few times I realized it was not for me.  Waxing my legs...I loved it!!!  I went shave free for about 6 weeks and it was great.  I hate shaving and waxing was the perfect thing for me.

6. Are you a spender or a saver?

Both!  I love to spend but I also love to see money piling up in my savings account...not that that has happened for a long time.  I plan on becoming quite the saver now that I am here in Iceland.  I want to be able to come back state side at least once a year and in order to do that I need to save my money :o) 

7. If  you were starring in a movie..who would you want to play your leading man/woman?

I think I just answered this question a few weeks ago on another blog hop.  I would want Jennifer Aniston!

I just realized that I mis-read this question....sorry!!!

I would want Taye Diggs to play the leading man!  He is so hot and dreamy :o)

8. Smoker..never smoked..social smoker..or smoked back in the day?

I used to smoke!  I quit for good in the beginning of October of 2009!  I never smoked when I was pregnant but I always started back up when the boys were around a year old.  I do not want to start smoking ever again!!  It is a nasty habit...it stinks, it's expensive and it affects everyone in the family!!!
