After a LONG break, I am finally back!!!

I am now living in North Carolina and am finishing up my first semester of college. The last two and a half months have been crazy, hectic, exciting and filled with fun! I started by getting to the states on May 10th and the boys and I slept in a hotel in NYC. On the 11th we flew into Norfolk, VA and a good friend came to get us. We stayed with a friend of mine for less than two weeks before we moved into our own home. I got a car a week after getting here and then my household goods arrived a few days after we moved into our apartment. I rented a three bedroom townhouse in a quiet area about 10 minutes from my school. I really like the place and will have to take some pictures to show you guys. The boys really like our home and so do I :)

School was a struggle at first, it was really hard to get back into the grove of things. I am doing really good though and have met lots of new people and made a few really good friends. One of those friends that I made is with a girl named Deb, she is my life saver and I have no idea what I would do if I had not met her. Deb and I have so much in common and we really clicked right from the start. She has 2 children that are close to Kobe's age and they get along great. I love having friends with children the same ages as my boys, that just makes the friendship that much easier. All of the friends that I have made here have children around the boy's age which has turned out to be a real life saver for all of us.

Kobe left to spend 5 weeks with Dewayne in the beginning of June. That was really hard for me due to Kobe never having left me before. He is back though and doing great :) Tyrique and Markus went to Florida for 6 weeks to spend some time with their Grandmother and just came back home on Thursday. They had fun but are so glad to be back home with their Mamma :)

We have added a new member to our family, her name is Molly and she is a Silky Terrier. She just turned 4 months old and is the cutest little thing in the world.

Kobe was gone when we got her so I didn't get a picture of him with her on day one but we will have plenty of pictures of the two of them....this much I know since they are best friends :)

I have two days left of my semester and then I get three whole weeks of summer vacation. I am so excited to get some time with the boys to go swimming, to the beach and we are thinking of doing a family trip to Busch Gardens, Water Country and Jamestown. I want to make a few days of it and get a hotel room and have some fun with my boys.

I have been reading your blogs but have sucked at commenting....sorry :( I don't have much time and I try to squeeze a few minutes in per day to read your blogs. I will get more organized and start commenting one fine day hehe.

Getting to know YOU

Today is my last Sunday working here and I am so happy :) These last few weeks have been rather crazy, I was sick and then I have been trying to pack up our stuff, sell the car and a few other things and signing up for classes. I am really excited about signing up for the classes.....I feel like a little kid starting school for the first time lol. I am taking 14 credits this summer and then I am going to be taking 16-18 credits this fall. It's a lot but I am hoping I can do it :)

Horse meat....

In Iceland they eat horses, sharks and whales....we are a whole different breed ya know hehehe.

I'm all for it and wish I could afford it!!

3. 2 things you love about spring are.....?

The ugly white, wet, cold snow melting (I will be missing the snow but for now I am sick and tired of it).

Feeling some warm sun on my face and seeing the grass getting greener!

4. when's the last time you went on a picnic?

Are you talking about the photo editing software?? I went on there a few weeks ago hahaha

I haven't been on a picnic in a looooooong time :)

6. who does the grocery shopping in your house?

Considering I am the only adult or the only person in the house with a drivers license......I do ALL shopping, cleaning and anything else that needs to be done in MY house!

I want to try Zumba so bad....I will when I get to NC!

8. how often do you go out to dinner?

Not very often...maybe once or twice a month and then it is often just to get some burgers or a pizza, nothing fancy :)

Five Question Friday

So life has been kinda crazy for the last few weeks.....hum where do I start??

For the last 3 weeks we have been battling the most horrifying stomach flu ever!!!! Markus has been sick most of those 3 weeks and then Kobe had it for well over a week. Tyrique got lucky in the fact that his lasted about 2 days and I was feeling pretty dag gone lucky not to have gotten it at all and then BAM I get sick :(

I am on day 4 and I feel a little bit better today than the last 3 days but I have no energy to do anything! I have had a fever, headache, body fluids exiting many different areas and really bad body aches!

We got really lucky because Tyrique's confirmation was last weekend and we were all healthy during that day (that night Markus got sick again). The confirmation went great and we are really happy with the way it ended up. I will dedicate a whole post about the confirmation full of pictures of my handsome lil big man (Ty is at 6 feet tall so I can't call him little).

Now I am going to join in 5QF and then I am gonna try to get something done in the house (read....go lay back in bed).

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

My temper!!! I am working on it and I think I am doing great but I want to get better control of my temper.

2. Write about a time when you got lost.

So....March 14th I was driving in NYC trying to get to JFK Airport and I got really lost and ended up in Time Square! I found my way to JFK but got some great pics at Time Square while I was there :)

3. Camping or 5 star hotel?

Camping=bugs and getting dirty!!! 5 Star Hotel all the way for me thank you very much!!!

4. Have you donated blood?

No! I want to though....I have a very common blood type so I need to!!! I want to donate bone marrow...I think we need a lot more people willing to donate bone marrow (as well as blood of course).

5. Do you have a budget or do you 'fly by' most months?

My money is budgeted as in I pay all of my bills and then the rest of the money goes to food and gas in the car! I don't make enough extra money for any other exciting budgeting than just getting by!!

Outside my window..it's raining!! I am so glad it is finally raining....that means the snow will melt :)

Today I feel..good about everything that is happening in my life. I think I am finally to a point where I am happy with the choices I have made and the direction that my life has taken. I am really excited about what more life has to offer.

I miss..sunshine and warm weather!!!

I am thankful..for the way my life is turning out!

Tomorrow I am going..to clean and enjoy my day off. Maybe I will take the boys swimming!?!?

I am wearing..Work clothes.

I wish..the cleaning fairy would come to my house and pack it all up and clean it for me :)

My schedule this week[end] includes..Cleaning tomorrow. Cleaning out the attic Saturday and a birthday party for my cousins daughter on Sunday.

I need to start..blogging more often :/ I am really sucking at the whole blogging thing!!!

I am reading..Nothing at the moment. I really don't have time right now. I have to say though that I want a Kindle after reading the review that Jen over at 3 Little Monkeys wrote! I think I would read a lot more (that would probably be bad in my case since I am a book worm....would I ever be able to work or take care of my boys???).

I am working on..organizing the next month so I can be all moved out by the end of April since I reserved a Cabin for the boys and I for a week :)

Yesterday I..made pizza for dinner and Markus and I watched Bones (we started from the beginning and are on Season 3....we didn't start from the beginning yesterday though lol).

I am hoping..My sister and Mamma will come over on Saturday so we can start on the attic......PLEASE COME HELP ME MAMMA (I know she reads this blog and I will make sure she reads it today hahahahaha guilting her into helping me lol).

5 Question Friday

It's time for the silence on my blog to be broken!! I have been really busy the last few weeks and have not had time to blog. I went to the states last week and came home on Tuesday morning (I will blog about that later). My house is off the market and let's just say there is a good reason for that :) I will not be moving out of my place until I leave to move to the states. I still need to sell my car! I will update you all later on everything that is going on. for now I am going to play along to 5QF with Mama M.

1. Have you ever testified in court? For what?

Nope!

2. Do you still have your wedding dress?

I didn't wear a wedding dress when I got married....maybe next time I will :)

3. Is there a special place you like to go when you're happy, sad, stressed, etc.?

To my bed! My bed (or my room) is the only place I ever go to in my house when I want to get away.

4. If you have kids, do they sleep with you? If you don't have kids...will you let your kids sleep with you when/if you have them?

Well, um....ahem!!! Tyrique slept in my bed from the day he was born until he was about 5, 6 or 7. He crawled in my bed until he was about 10 though. Markus was not allowed to sleep in my bed because I was not going to go through that again!! Well, then Markus had tubes put in his ears at 3 years old and I felt so sorry for him that I pulled him into my bed.....he stayed there for the next 4 years!!! Along came Kobe and I would not allow him in my bed because for the first time in years I had the bed to myself (Dewayne was there too of course but no kids). Then I got a divorce and moved to Iceland and our whole routine went out the window and poor Kobe got to come sleep in his Mamma's bed cause I felt so sorry for him. As you can guess he is sleeping in my bed full time now!!! When I ask him if he wants to sleep in my bed he looks at me as if I have lost my mind and tells me he is sleeping in our bed!!!

5. Do you watch late night TV?

I turn cartoons on for Kobe and we watch one cartoon (or 5) and then we go to sleep. Some nights I turn the TV on for me but then I usually fall asleep to it so there is no point in turning it on.

Boobless in Iceland

Yesterday morning while putting on my bra I got quite the shock....

My boobs are gone!!!

I have been working out like a mad woman for 22 days now, going to bootcamp 3 days a week and then trying to go to hot yoga once a week. I have noticed that I am slimming down but I guess the one thing I was not prepared for was to lose my boobs!!

I have never had big boobs but I had gotten to a full C and I was really happy with that. Now my C cup bra looks like it belongs to someone else...my bra is half empty :(

It's okay though, I have come to realize that if I have big boobs naturally then they come with a big belly....I can't have big boobs without being overweight!!

Now I am just going to keep losing the weight and if I feel the need to (if money allows) then one fine day I will go out and buy me a pair of big perky boobs hahahaha :)

I gotta tell you, I have never in my life worked out as hard as I do now. Bootcamp lasts for an hour and I am going the whole time and I love that I keep pushing myself as hard as I can. I can feel how much my tolerance level has gone up. I can run longer and harder than I have ever been able to do and I can actually go the whole hour without taking a break!! The scale is not going down the way I would like for it to go but I can see the difference in my clothes and of course my bra!! Even my panties are starting to get big on me....you know what the means?? I am going to have to go buy some new panties soon (I love panties)!!

I have been working like a mad woman trying to switch shifts so that I can go to the states next month (in 13 days just in case someone other than me is counting). I have a ton of things going on and I am super tired! My apartment has not rented yet or sold for that matter and I am getting really frustrated. I was hoping to be moved out by this point, hopefully I can get someone in the next week!

The renters that were gonna rent fell through (because of me). I did some research on them and decided that it was not worth the risk to rent to them so I denied them...they were not happy with me :(

I am at work now on day 5 of 7 and I am so tired. I can't wait till Thursday night at 5:30....then I am off till Monday :)

I hope you have all been doing good. I haven't had much time to blog...or do anything else for that matter. One fine day I hope to get back into some sort of routine with blogging.

Just Thursday

Outside my window..the weather is crazy, it's windy and raining. There is a storm warning for later on today through tomorrow...the winds are supposed to be horrible!

Today I feel..a little bit icky :( My belly hurts and I wish I was at home in bed!

I am thinking..of my life. The choices I have made and the choices I am making!

I am thankful..that my sister met my Mamma to get Kobe for me today so I don't have to go tonight after work in this crazy weather!

Tomorrow I am going..to be showing my apartment at noon. The renters that were supposed to rent from me fell through (it's a good thing) and I have a few people that are checking the place out in the next few days. I also had a showing this week to a lady that is interested in buying the house.

I am wearing..work clothes!

I wish..the house would sell so I wouldn't have to deal with this headache anymore!

This weekend I..I am off from work and will be packing! I am not moving till the end of the month since the renters fell through so I have a bit more time to get packed up and moved out.

I am reading..nothing at the moment. I haven't had much time since I finished my book last week.

I am working on..packing the house (I feel like this is the answer way too many times for me!! I have done too much moving in the last year!!).

Yesterday I..worked, went to boot camp and then early to bed.

I am hoping..the next 2 and a half hours go by fast so I can go home to my boys!

Last night when Kobe and I were going to bed he sneezed and then he turned around and said to me....

Mamma, I bless youd all over the bed!

Hahahahahaha he is too cute!!! Where he comes up with this stuff is beyond me but I love it :)

I have some good news in regards to my apartment.....I have renters!!!! They came by yesterday and after 2 hours of looking around and telling me their life story (he he) they decided they were really excited about renting out my place (yippy!!!). They want to move in on the 15th of this month so that means that I am going to be busting my butt in the next week to move out!!!

Today was day 2 of Boot camp and let me tell you I am exhausted!!! I went on Wednesday and then last night my sister and I decided to go to Hot Yoga. Hot Yoga was interesting and I have to say I really liked it. I have never worked out before where the hour went by so fast (that's always a good thing). If you don't know what Hot Yoga is then basically it is Yoga in a dimly lit room that is so hot that you want to get naked while doing yoga.....I didn't get naked but I sure did sweat!!!!!

Now I am off to bed so I can face tomorrow (today was crazy busy at work and I need my rest).

Today I feel..sore!!! I went to day one of boot camp and it kicked my arse!!!

I am thankful..for my wonderful boys!! There are days that they drive me crazy and then there are others that I just want to snuggle them to pieces (they are not too fond of those days), I really love these boys of mine :)

Tomorrow I am going..to work and Saturday and Sunday too.

I am wearing..PJ bottoms and a T-shirt.....I am getting in the shower as soon as I finish this post so I can go to the grocery store.

This weekend I..plan on working.

I am reading..actually I just finished the last book in the series of The House of Night :( I love those books and can't wait for the next book to come out!

I am working on..keeping this house spotless just incase I need to show it....that is hard work with 3 kids and a full time job!!!

Yesterday I..stayed home all day cleaning house, doing laundry and playing with Kobe and then I went to boot camp.

I am hoping..Kobe can kick this cold of his. He has a sore throat and a horrible cough. I NEED HIM TO NOT GET SICK!!!

I am hearing..the spin cycle on the washing machine and Kobe playing (he just sneezed).

Christmas snow

The weather outside is so beautiful! We are having Christmas snow and I am loving it :) It hasn't snowed very much since I got here so I am still excited about the snow. I must say that the warm weather is a little bit more exciting to me though....VA is having some pretty awesome weather and I wish I was there!

Today was a lazy day for me where I laid around reading until right before noon and then I got up to clean the house and start laundry. I planned on staying in my PJ's all day but then I remembered that I had planned on going to a Body sculpting (or something like that) class tonight so I had to get up, take a shower and go to the bank. I needed to order a new pin for my debit card and I had to go get it so I could put gas in the car (it was that or walk the 5 miles to class.....um, no thanks!!!).

Now I am sitting here looking out the window at this beautiful Christmas snow in February :) I love it!!!

First Viewing

Yesterday I got a phone call from the real estate agent asking me if I could show my place to someone interested in renting. I of course said yes and as soon as I got home from work I got the place looking good and then waited on the people to show up. The arrived on time and took a look at the house. The are polish so I couldn't understand anything they were saying but the only thing they asked me was I going to leave my appliances. After that they said they would contact the real estate agent in the morning. Now it is lunch time and I am wondering what happened....do they want to rent the apartment? Did they like it? When is that phone call coming??? The agent said to me yesterday that the lady was trying to move in ASAP....as in a week or so!!! I told him no problem....I will do anything to get someone in there before I leave!!!

It's snowing like crazy outside right now! It is Christmas snow and I am loving it! It looks so beautiful :)

What are you doing today? I am working today and then I will be off for the next two days (preparing to move hopefully).

House is on the market

The real estate agent came this morning (only one of the two showed up.....I think the other one may be a bit of a flake). He took pictures and we talked about the house and all the things I have done and then we talked about all the things that still have to be done and then he left.

The realtor called me this afternoon and he has officially listed my house and basically the price for the house is just for the new owner to buy me out with me walking away not owing anything. The housing market sucks so bad here in Iceland that I will be lucky if I am able to sell the house at all :( I am going to be optimistic though and keep praying that the house will sell.

For Sale

I have been really busy the last few weeks. I have applied to school and today I got accepted :) I have been trying to get my house cleaned up and ready to put on the market. I have been cleaning and organizing like a mad woman for the last week and tonight I am done (well as done as I can be). Tomorrow morning at 10:30 and 11:30 I have real estate agents coming to take pictures of the house so we can put it on the market.

I have put my car up for sale and so far that is not really doing too good. I have had two people inquire about it but no one serious. I need to get rid of the car and the apartment so I can leave and not have to send money home to pay my bills :-0 I have also been telling people that I am going to rent my apartment out, everyone is going to spread the word for me. I am hoping to move in with my sister as soon as possible so I can save a little extra money before I leave.

There is so much to do and I feel like I don't have enough hours in the day to finish everything! Yesterday I stayed up for 20 hours cleaning and rearranging things. Right now it is after 11 PM and I have been up since 4:30 AM so I guess I am doing the same thing today as I did yesterday :(

Now if you could send me some good vibes....sales vibes preferably and say a quick prayer for us that I can sell our home and car before we leave. I really appreciate it!

Last day in my twenties

Today is the last day I can say I am in my twenties! Tomorrow I turn 30! I thought it was going to be really hard but to be honest I am not affected by it at all.....as of today :)

When I turned 25 I had a little bit of a midlife crisis and quit my job and moved to Virginia. I decided that I wasn't happy with my life and felt like it was going nowhere so I decided to do something about it. I am moving and making another major change this year but I can tell you for a fact that it has nothing to do with a midlife crisis!! The move is because of my divorce! If I wouldn't have gotten a divorce I would have never came back to Iceland. I never wanted to live here permanently, that's why I moved away in the first place. I came back here because I needed to....I needed my family and friends to help me through the hardest part and I can't tell you what a blessing it has been to be here. But....there is always a but....it is now time to go and move on with my life. Go make my dreams come true and maybe meet someone else! Most importantly I want to go make a better life for the boys and I.

Today may be the last day of my twenties but I gotta tell you I can't wait to see what my thirties hold :) The future is looking really good and I can't wait to see what it has in store for me!

Age ain't nothing but a number....right? LOL

So this morning I applied to college :) I applied to start the summer session of 2011 and I am going to take my placement test when I get there in March. My friend who lives there just sent me a message today telling me that they found some houses there that they really like and that are in really good areas. This is really happening!!! I have had the shakes for three days now, this is so exciting!!! I can't believe this is happening....Holy Toledos!!! I applied to go for Business Administration, that way I get a chance to try a few different things such as business law and accounting....both things I am interested in :) I am so flipping excited that I am having a hard time sitting still!!!

New Year, New Beginnings

I have started this blog a few times but don't know exactly how to write all of this so I am just going to go with a whole lotta random!

The New Year is bringing lots of changes for the boys and I.

I am coming stateside on March 7th till the 14th. I fly into NYC and am going to rent a car to drive to PA and NC.

I am coming stateside to apply to school in NC where I plan to move to this summer.

I have put my car for sale and I am working on getting my apartment put on the market in the next few weeks.

This move is something the boys and I all want. It is great to be here with my family but I don't feel like I belong here in Iceland. I don't feel like I am home. I have been trying to live here but I know I can't.

I was going to go to school here in Iceland but I have six thousand hurdles to jump and I have decided that learning in the states where I get to learn in English is better anyway.

Why NC?? That is the boys' number one choice because we have friends that live there that they are very close to and they want to live by them. I love this tiny little town and would love to raise my boys there. We have friends there so it is not like we are going somewhere where we don't know anyone.

So there you have it!! I am going to be moving stateside most likely in June (nothing has been finalized yet) and we are most likely moving to NC.

Lord, if you can't make me skinny....please make my friends fat!!!!

I was on a website today and saw this and had to put that on here hahahahahaha!!!! I love it!!

I am participating in a 28 day boot camp program on Sparkpeople and today is day 1. I have to do at least a 10 minute cardio workout per day but my goal for the next 28 days is to do 30 minutes (10 is not enough for me). I am going to try to drink 8 cups of water per day, eat healthier and stop eating chocolate.......it keeps calling my name and making me eat it!!! I hate chocolate, not cause of the taste cause it tastes sooooo good but because of the calories and fat in it :( Why does all the good tasting stuff have to be so bad for us??? I wish it was the other way around!!!

Have I mentioned that it is my birthday month??? Oh....I haven't??? Well it is!!!! In 16 days I will be 30 years old!!! Yep, 30!!! I know I look like I am 21 but I am really going to be turning 30 (hahahaha....I tell everyone I am 21 with experience). So I talked about losing 30 lbs by my 30th birthday and well.............that didn't happen!!! You see, I just wasn't motivated enough!! That is the truth....as much as it sucks!! Now I am motivated though.....now I have more control over my life and I want to be skinny in that controlled life :)

Okay, now I am rambling because I have not slept the whole night and I am at work for the second time in a week after not sleeping the whole night!!! I can tell you all that I am going to be a b*tch by the end of the day!!! Back to work I go.

I can't believe it is 2011!!! I feel like 2000 was such a short time ago but it has actually been 11 years since everyone thought the world was coming to an end hahaha!!!

I decided to take a break from blogging during the holidays and focus instead on my boys and wonderful family. I spent a lot of time at my Mamma's house and in between being at her house I was working. I had such a great Christmas and New Year, I feel incredibly blessed to have gotten to spend it with my family. This is the first Christmas in 6 years that all of us sisters are together.

The boys got a ton of presents are were really happy with everything they got. I got a lot of great things too like a hooded zip up fleece, table runner made of fish skin (I have to take a picture to show you how awesome it is), books, a lava candle holder, decoration for my house and more. I can't think of everything off the top of my head but you get the idea...I got a ton of great things :)

I need to check out your blogs to see what you have all been up to....I will get caught up in the next couple of days. For now I am going to finish rearranging my closet and then I am off to bed. I have to work tomorrow so I can't stay up too long.

Last night I was asleep before 9 PM. I wrote on my facebook status that I didn't know if I was getting old or getting young cause Kobe and I were both so sleepy that we fell right to sleep LOL. I am off until Monday and I couldn't be happier....I needed this!!! So far today I have gone with my sister to test drive a car, took that car to my work and had one of the mechanics look at the car, went to the bank, colored my sisters hair and did my eyebrows! It's not even 3 yet and I have gotten so much done :)

Now, I am going to spend the rest of the day cleaning house and doing laundry. I have to have this place in tip top shape for Christmas and I want to make sure that it's done today so I can enjoy the rest of the weekend without having to worry about the house.

No I do not regift. I have gotten a really ugly gift one year that was regifted to me but I was quick to get rid of it!

Nope and I am not really concerned about me... Christmas is all about my boys, not me!

Me!!! Santa brings one gift and I take care of the rest!

JcPenney! They have name brand jeans for a great price....I miss JcPenney!!! I need clothes so bad but that just has to wait till next year when I came to visit :(

5. Christmas meal: Big, All Out Meal or Snacks and Apps?

Big all out meal!!! We have lots of yummy snacks too but we sit down to eat a huge Christmas dinner at 6 PM sharp on Christmas Eve and then we open the presents after that.

It is finally Sunday....sorry for the rest of you that don't want the weekend to end! After working 36.5 hours this weekend I am so glad I am finally done and have the next two days off. I am tired and can not wait to spend the next two days in PJ's....not that that is going to happen but it sounds good :)

I am so excited because yesterday I finished my living room (besides putting pictures on the walls) and I am loving it. The colors are white and turquoise and I think it turned out great. It is so cozy and inviting....I woke up this morning and looking into the living room brought a huge smile to my face!!! I love that the living room had that affect on me :)

Tonight I am going to watch a movie with the boys and then we are going to bed early. They have school in the morning and I am just plain sleepy after a long weekend.

Ah, it's Friday!! I love Fridays....or at least I used to before I started working every other weekend! No, I still love Fridays!! In 2 Fridays it's Christmas Eve!!! Can you believe it....Christmas is almost here!!!! I can't wait....the boys can't wait...can you wait??? Tyrique asked me yesterday if they can open a present early!! I looked at him as if he was crazy and told him N.O!!! I know he is excited but he has to be excited for 2 more weeks and then he can open all his presents :)

1. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

We open the presents on Christmas Eve. We eat a really nice dinner with everyone in their dressy clothes at 6 PM...sharp!!! Then after dinner the dishes get done and then the presents are opened.

2. What is your favorite Christmas cookie (or candy)?

Kiffels!!! My Aunt Sharla taught me how to make them last year but her kiffels are the best!!! This year she sent me some kiffels with the Christmas boxes and I am so happy :) They are already half done....the boys are loving them too :)

3. What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?

I don't know??

4. Christmas song that you love?

This Christmas with Chris Brown.....just writing it on here got it stuck in my head and now I will be singing it all day :) I love that song!!

5. How many trees do you put up?

ONE!!! That is enough for me!!! I haven't put one up yet this year....my Mamma is making me all the decorations for our little tree. I am so excited to see how it turns out :)

This week is my long week at work and it is really crazy at work. I was so busy today that I barely looked up from the computer all day...the only time I really looked up and walked away from the computer was to assist a customer. This is how the weekend is going to be too. I am so exhausted after the day that I am going to go to bed early tonight. It is 8 PM and I feel like I have been hit by a truck I am so tired....the sad thing is I went to bed yesterday at 8 PM too LOL.

Question week....day 7

Today marks the 7th and last day of Question week. I have now answered 70 questions about myself this week and I sure hope you have learned a little more about me in that time lol.

Today I have been getting the extra room ready for my dad to come over here tomorrow and work on it. It was a lot of work but I am finally done and am so glad. I am going to a Christmas party with work tonight and then after that I am going to Reykjavik to go clubbing with my bestest. I am so excited to get out and do something fun!! It is 3:30 and I just realized that I forgot to go to the liquor store...thank goodness I have an awesome brother in law who just offered (after I told him he has to) to go for my sister and I. The liquor store closes here at 4 pm on Saturdays :-O

Now I am going to clean up a little bit and then I am off to get ready for my big night. Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

1. Do you text more or talk more on the phone?

I talk more!!! It takes too long to text, I am faster calling the person and getting it out of the way!!

2. Have you ever crawled through a window?

Yeah I have done that a few times when I have locked myself out of the house or when I was crawling back in the house after sneaking out when I was a teenager...sorry Mamma :)

3. How much time do you HONESTLY spend on the computer a day?

HOURS AND HOURS!!! When I am at work, I spend the whole day on the computer but that is because I work on a computer but facebook and my blog are always on and then when I am off of work I check my computer about once an hour....sad, I know!!

4. Do you wash your face/remove your make-up before going to bed?

I try to....I have adult acne and if I am not careful with my face it breaks out really bad so I try to always make sure it is clean before I go to sleep.

5. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Nope, that's what you call lust!!! There is a huge difference!!!

6. Do you dye your hair and if so why?

I highlight my hair because I think it looks blah when I don't!

7. Are you materialistic?

Nope!!! I like material things but my life does not depend on having those things!!! I want my children more than anything else!

8. Would you date/marry a man who is shorter than you?

No, I don't think so :( I like tall men!

9. Do you wear make-up everyday?

I try to!!! I look so blah without make up that I have to wear it....also I have adult acne and my skin looks bad without being covered up!

10. What is the strangest item in your purse?

A Tom and Jerry toy or a lighter that doesn't work!!! I don't smoke yet I have a lighter in my purse and I have no clue where it came from. I just looked in my purse and saw it there :(

Question week...day 6

Today I went with my sister, Grandma, Kobe and nephew to Reykjavik to go shopping. We went to the mall and the boys went into the play place there and off went the adults to spend some cash :) We went into a few stores looking for clothes (I need something to wear tomorrow night) and found nothing :( I was really hoping to find something nice but I wasn't really into it today. My back has been hurting really bad for a few days now and walking around today was making it even worse. I went and got a few little presents for the shoe (from the Icelandic Yule Lads). Then I bought a craft to do tonight for our bi-weekly Girls Craft Night! We have been getting together for the last month and a half to do some Christmas crafts and it is so much fun.

Tomorrow night I am going out to eat with my coworkers and then after that I am going to Reykjavik to go clubbing with my bestest :) I haven't gone out since I came here and I am so excited to get out and let loose :)

Yes and no! I can be really sarcastic at times but I am not always sarcastic.

Yes I have two! One on my lower back and the other on my left ankle.

I'm really trying to!!! I was having a really hard time with the divorce but I am putting all that behind me and I am going to start enjoying being single :)

I guess I am going to go with a Dog. I love some of the exotic animals out there but a dog is a mans best friend right :)

6. How often do you talk on the phone?

Probably about once an hour LOL, no not that much but a few times a day at least.

7. What is the most recent thing you bought?

Granola bars, shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, presents for the boys, oh and 2 books!!! I am so excited about the books! I found out that the book store here sells books in English and I found some books that are in a series that I started earlier this year and I am so excited to read more books from the series :)

8. Do you have good vision?

I am supposed to wear glasses because I am really blind in my right eye and then I have astigmatism in my left eye but I am really bad about wearing my glasses.

9. Can you hula hoop?

Yes I can!!! I used to be better at it when I was a kid but I can still do it :)

10. Can you handle the truth?

Sometimes! There have been a few truths in my life that have really screwed with my head and heart but I think it's better to know the truth!

It's Friday and I am off today as well as the rest of the weekend :) I am so flipping excited I could do flips around the whole house....good thing there is no space to do flips in this house huh?

1. What's on the top of your holiday wish list and why?!

For my sons to have a good Christmas!!

2. What is your favorite Christmas gift from the past?

Last year my Mamma sent me a box full of home made Christmas gifts. I was so excited, it felt like I had my Mamma there with me!!!

My Aunt Sharla sends me every year a Snow Man decoration and I love them!!! I have a great collection of Snow men (they are with my belongings that I had to leave in the states but will get back next year).

3. If you had life to do over, what would you be when you grow up?

I would be a Criminal Lawyer!

4. When do you put up your tree?

I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving but this year I am a little late due to not having any decorations.

5. What is your favorite Holiday?

Christmas!!! My children look forward to Christmas the whole year and it is so much fun to watch them opening presents!!

Sorry I didn't get around to writing a blog until so late but I had a really busy day at work today and then as soon as I got off of work I went to pick up Kobe from my Mamma's house. It was 9 pm by the time I got home and we still had to eat. I am going to make this blog post short and sweet so I can get my lil men to sleep.

1. Do you know how to use chop sticks?

Not really...I am too impatient for them!

2. What are you doing tomorrow?

I have off from work and I plan on tackling my spare bedroom so we can put the flooring down in there. The spare room was our work room and it needs a lot of work so we decided to wait till the end to finish it so the boys and I could move in faster. Now the spare room needs to be finished so Kobe can have his own room and stop sleeping in his Mamma's bed....as much as we both like it :) Kobe needs to have a place to have his toys and be able to play with other kids when we have them over.

3. Ever had a cream puff?

Yes and I really like them :)

4. What was the last question you asked someone?

5. Do you still buy CD's?

Yeah I bought an Usher CD before I left the states but it was the first one in awhile.

6. Have you ever walked into a wall/window/door?

Who hasn't LOL!!!! I am as big of a klutz as the next person....aren't all people klutzes??? Oh, well....I am!!!

7. Do looks matter when it comes to the opposite sex?

Yes....I am gonna be completely honest and say that if I am not attracted to the man then I can't go any further with it! I might sound shallow but I am being honest!

8. Have you ever slapped someone?

Yeah.......I don't remember doing it out of anger though, just playing around!!

Pink and Olive Green!!!

10. Do you sleep with the TV on?

I can fall asleep with the TV on if I am really tired but it doesn't happen often. If I do fall asleep with the TV on then I wake up at some point and turn it off.

Today is my sister Birgitta's 28th birthday. Happy Birthday Birgitta!!! Yesterday when I took Kobe to my Mamma's house my sister and her two children went with us. We stopped at IKEA to pick up a thing or two and then we ate at IKEA. I love how family friendly they are there, kids meals are free when you purchase a regular meal So we paid for mine and my sisters meal and the three kids ate for free :) Can't beat that!!

After that we went to Toys R Us and looked around at all the toys and let the kids play and dream of all the different things that they wanted for Christmas. Kobe was loving all the Toy Story toys, he loves Jessie and calls her Cowboy Jessie and when he saw her he got really excited. The kids had a blast....my sister and I had a blast too and got some great ideas for some Christmas stuff.

Then off we went to get some Ice Cream. At the Ice Cream store I decided to take some pictures since the kids ice cream was so doggone cute.

I'm at work listening to Usher.....aaaahhhh I love that man!!! It is 6:24 am and I am in a great mood!!! I haven't been in this good of a mood since.....I can't remember the last time I was this happy!!! I woke up in a super good mood and I plan to stay that way :)

I was 14 and his name is Shayne. He is Tyrique's Dad.

I can forgive almost everything and I am quick to forgive.

I woke up to a puppy barking. Tyrique and Markus woke up an hour before my alarm went off and were watching TV when I went to wake them up. I need to go grocery shopping. I dunno!! I think that is kinda scary and I would be afraid to die and leave my kids without a mommy :(

No! I am too scared to have a gun in my house. I have 3 sons and I think if they would find a gun they would probably play with it and shoot someone on accident.......I hope they wouldn't but I am too scared to take the chance.

Heck yeah I did!! Who didn't??? My friends and I used to make prank phone calls all the time and then one time it backfired and the guy we prank called started calling us back and he scared the daylights out of us because he wouldn't stop calling (he called a million times at least lol). We forgot to block our number before we called and he just *69 ed us and decided that the prank was on us :(

Day 2 of Question week. How are you liking the questions so far??

Today I am going to enjoy my day off and take my boys, niece and nephew swimming. My sister is a full time student and she has a huge test on Friday that she is studying for so I am going to spend a lot of time with her little munchkins this week. They are so excited about swimming today, they told me yesterday that they were going to go to sleep early and be extra good so they could go :)

I try to as much as I can....it feels so good :)

Stinky gas!!

It's been a few months.

Why yes I am, I am very emotional and most things can make me cry!

5. Would you dance on top of a bar?

Yeah I probably would if I was having a good time....I always wanted to do the Coyote Ugly thing LOL.

Yes, when I was a kid I used to count everything such as ceiling tiles, carpet squares, lines, etc. to see how high I could count. I have always been a numbers person.

7. Do you bite into your ice cream or just lick it?

Both....if it is soft serve then I bite and lick but if it is hard ice cream I just lick it....the cold bothers my teeth if the ice cream is hard (that whole sentence sounded so dirty hahaha).

8. Do you like your hair?

Yep....I love it!!! I just wish I did more with it. It is always in a ponytail....like 99% of the time.

9. Do you like yourself?

I try to!!! Some days I love myself and others....not so much :(

10. Have you ever met a celebrity?

Yes, when I was little I met a famous guy on an airplane but I didn't know until we got to our destination that the guy was famous :)

I have a routine when I get in the shower and I start by wetting my hair and my body and then I shampoo my hair.

2. What color is your favorite Hoodie?

Black! I have an Old Navy hoodie that I have had for probably 7 or 8 years that I love to pieces.

3. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?

Yeah...I think so ;o)

4. Do you plan outfits?

No! Work clothes are always the same but when I am off I just put something....if I get dressed!

5. How are you feeling RIGHT now??

Optimistic!! I think it will all work out in the end :)

I had to really search for that one....there is a car poster on the wall to my right that has a red car on it!

I don't use aim but when I say instant messenger I usually say just that....instant messenger! Lame huh?

I can't!!! I woke up with a WTF??? It was not a dream I ever would have expected to dream :-O

Soda!!! I quit drinking soda 2.5 years ago and then I moved back here to Iceland and started drinking soda again....now I am quitting.....again!!! I hate quitting drinking soda!!!

I meet someone new everyday...it's my job :)

Random Saturday

I am sitting here at work counting down till I can go home to my babies (I have 46 minutes by the way). I don't really know what to blog about today, yesterday I stayed home from work because I had the stomach flu....it is going around bad around here. I vomited the night away and half the day but I feel better today. I am a little bit nauseous but nothing compared to yesterday. Now if only I could lose some weight due to the stomach flu lol.

I have been watching the show The Big C that is on Showtime and lemme tell you that show is really good!!! I didn't expect this at all but I am impressed. I am so hooked that I only have one more show to watch and then I am caught up :) If you haven't seen the show then I will tell you that it is about a woman who is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and how she handles it basically. It's funny cause you wouldn't think a show about cancer would be good or funny but this one is. So check it out if you haven't.

Let's see...what else??? Nothing really. So, how about I end it here before I bore you to tears....maybe I did that already!?!?!?! If I did then it's your own fault for reading this far hahahahahaha!!!

Just Thanksgiving Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope you enjoy the day with the people you love.

Today I am a little bit depressed. It's scary to look back to one year ago and see where I was and then look at my life now and see where it has gone. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that I would be living in Iceland and getting a divorce a year ago!!! A year ago today I was sitting at my kitchen table in VA with my husband, children and Aunt Sharla enjoying our Turkey dinner and my favorite....Pumpkin Pie for desert!

I'm sorry that I am kinda blah but this is my blog and this is my life and I am gonna write it like it is! I have been thinking today about how I have a hard time writing a blog post on days where I am depressed and it is only because I don't want to put my feelings out there and make this blog all blah and depressed....well guess what?? Today I am blah and depressed and I am telling you all about it!!!

Today I wish I could rewind the time and go back to a year ago....I wish I could be sitting at my kitchen table in VA. As I am writing this I have tears rolling down my cheeks because it hurts to think about all of this :(

This morning it was so hard to get out of the bed. It was so cold in the house (I'm having some issues with the heating...grrr), Kobe was snuggled so comfy against me, it was MONDAY and I was still so sleepy! None the less I got out of the bed and got ready for my day. I got to work and after a few hours I checked my blog to find that Rochelle over at A Family of Looneys had given me a blog award :) It has been quite awhile since I have received an award and I must tell ya I was really excited that there are still a few reading what I have to say LOL.

Thanksgiving

Today my family celebrated Thanksgiving at my sisters house. There was 34 of us there and we had a blast! Between my Mamma and step Dad there were 20 of us and for the first time ever we had all the siblings in the same place at the same time. It was so much fun and we need to do it again really soon. We ate good food and had great conversations and created some wonderful memories (that I forgot to take pictures of....I had my camera there and kept meaning to take pictures but never did ugh).

I am so thankful for the wonderful family that I have and I am so glad that I got to spend the day with them. This is the first major Holiday that I get to spend with my family in 4 years and I am so happy. This day could not have gone any better.

Thank you for the day everyone! Love you to pieces!

Five Question Friday on a Saturday

Hello Ladies and Happy Saturday to you all :)

I am in a great mood....wanna know why?? Well it is because I am sitting in a nice and toasty warm home! You see when I started all the work on this apartment we ripped out the heating and decided to put all new heating into the house (brings up value when selling blah, blah, blah), then I had to wait till I had the money to install heating cause it costs a whole lotta money you know. Well, then it was getting really cold here in the great ol' land of ice and I had to have the heating put in or risk freezing to death. So today my Dad, brother in law and two cousins came over and installed the heating and I came home 12 hours later to a nice and toasty house. I love them so very much :) I dunno where I would be without them.

So now that the house is all nice and toasty I am going to write this blog post and clean up a little bit then go to sleep in the warmth.

1. What Christmas song do you loathe?

I can't think of any Christmas song that I loathe....I can tell you one that I LOVE!!! This Christmas with Chris Brown....aaaaahhhh I love that song and am listening to it now cause I had to look it up on youtube.

2. Do you and your significant other cuddle at night or sleep on opposite sides of the bed?

I don't have a significant other but when I did we slept all cuddled up against each other. I miss that :( Now I have Kobe in my bed to cuddle up against!

3. Have you ever had surgery?

Yes I have. I have had to have my uterus fixed a few times, I have had kidney stones removed, I have had wisdom teeth removed and I have had a c-section.

4. When do you typically have your holiday shopping done?

It depends on the year lol. I have everything bought already this year except for my niece and nephew but I already know what I am getting them. Everything else is already bought...now it is time to wrap all these presents!!!

5. If money were not an issue (and you HAD to pick something), what would your ultimate luxury item be?

A new house!!!

A new car.

A Canon Rebel (oh this is my dream)

Girls Night

I have been super busy today, baking chocolate cake, making vanilla pudding, egg salad and tuna salad. The boys requested a cake today and pudding too since I was in the kitchen. I made them their treats and decided to make some tuna and egg salad while I was at it. I have a girls night planned for tonight so I thought I would bring those with me for snacks :)

Just Thursday

Last night when I got home from work the kitchen sink was clogged and kept draining into the dishwasher. I cleaned the sink and dishwasher by scooping the water out with a cup into a bucket and then I cleaned the whole dishwasher on the inside. Eeww I gotta tell you that this was not something that I liked doing (okay so no one would like to do that but gross)!!

I was freaking out a little bit because how was I going to resolve the problem of the clogged sink? Well I called my Mamma and then my Dad and they both told me the same thing. Unscrew the bottom thingamagicker and then clean that out and screw it back on. So that is what I did and cleaned out the pipes under the sink and guess what??? It worked!!! I unclogged my sink all by myself....well besides the help from my parents on the phone :)

My home is filled with toys, has fingerprints on everything and is never quiet. My hair is usually a mess and I'm always tired, but there is always love and laughter in here. In 20 years my kids won't remember the house or my hair but they will remember the time we spent together and the love we felt. Children only get one childhood....make it a good one!!!

Busy day and smart as could be

Today I had to take Kobe to my Mamma's house. I met my step dad a little over an hour from my house and Kobe was not happy to have to leave his Mamma. He is such a Mamma's boy and never wants to leave me. Once he gets to Amma and Afi's (Grandma and Grandpa's) house he is happy as can be though. It doesn't make this day any easier though.....I hate having to leave my baby with someone else :(

On a happier note.....I unlocked my Blackberry today :)

I brought my Blackberry with me from the states but I wasn't able to unlock it and I had a few guys try with no success. Then today I decided to try it myself and what do you know.....I did it!!!!

I am so excited to have my phone....I really missed it!

Now, I am off to bed. I have to work tomorrow morning and I want to get plenty of rest tonight. Good night everyone!

Swimming

Today Kobe and I decided to go swimming. We went to the pool where we played for over 2 hours. It was so much fun and wore us both out.

Last year when I came to Iceland to visit I took all the boys swimming as well as my sister and I took a ton of pictures. I decided to post them so you can all see how great the pool is here.

This thing is really cool, the waters runs into each cone and then they spill at different times. The kids love being underneath them never knowing which one is going to pour water all over them.

This is one of 4 hot tubs outside. Here are Amelia and Kobe relaxing and enjoying the warm water. This is where Kobe and I spent most of our time today besides the inside playground.

This is a view of the outside pool. There are two parts, the part that is closer is shallow for the kids to play in and then the part that is further away is deeper and you can swim laps there. There is an Olympic size pool inside and the slide has a pool of its own.

The pool here is awesome and the boys and I love to go swimming there. It is free for kids under the age of 16 and it is only $3 for adults!!! Can't beat that huh!?!?!

Cozy day

The other day it was cold outside and Kobe and I decided to spend the day lounging around in PJ's, Tyrique and Markus were at school so we had the whole house to ourselves to do with as we chose. We chose to lay in bed half the day watching cartoons and Kobe colored and drew me some of his stick figure guys that I love so much.

I love lazy days spent at home with my favorite people.

Finger lickin good

Kobe had a pacifier until February of this year and then we took it away from him. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do...he loved his Dudda as he called it. He was in no way ready to give it up and then his Dad and I separated two months later and we moved to a different country. Poor baby was asking for his Dudda for a long time and I didn't give in....Lord knows I wanted to go to the store and buy him a Dudda!!!

Well about a month ago he started doing this....

I felt so bad for Kobe that I wanted to let him keep sucking his thumb....he is having a really hard time with the divorce and being without his Daddy. I refused to let him suck his thumb though....that is harder to take away than the pacifier is. He no longer sucks his thumb for comfort, he sticks it in his mouth no and again and I immediately tell him to take it out!!!

Do/did your children suck their thumbs or take a pacifier??

On a side note....

Kobe is completely potty trained!!! I am so excited, he quit using diapers during the day a few months ago and I was really nervous about taking it away from him during the night so I kept putting one on him. Well the last week he has been completely diaper free and he has only had one accident and that was when his Mamma didn't put him on the potty before going to bed (I fell asleep before he did).

Five Question Friday

So last night my sister and her girlfriends from school were going out for a girls night. Right before it was time to go I invited myself along :o) We had a blast!!! We went to a cute little steak house called The Old Wine House and then we went to the movies after that. We went to see Due Date and lemme tell you.....that movie was hilarious!!! We all laughed so hard and there was more than one time that my sister screamed so loud she scared everyone around her!!! I definitely recommend that movie!

2. How much sleep do you get at night?

I need a lot of sleep and I try to get between 6 and 8 hours a night when I am working and then when I am off I usually sleep about 10 hours a night.

3. How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist?

Not long enough! I found out the truth when I was 6 years old but I kept it a secret from my little sister until she was 13 years old :)

4. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?

Due Date and then the time before that I saw Eat, Pray, Love.

5. What do you wear to bed?

Panties! I am not a big fan of sleeping in clothes, I always get all tangled in the clothes and feel claustrophobic :(
